TPC Toronto at Osprey Golf Club makes $100,000 donation to community

A MESSAGE FROM TPC TORONTO AT OSPREY VALLEY

To our Annual Members, Customers, Partners and Friends,

While golf may not be at the forefront of our minds during these uncertain times, it will undoubtedly play an important role in our recovery when the time is right.

If you’re like us, despite the ongoing impact the COVID-19 virus is having on everyone, you may have been keeping an eye on the weather and wondering when the 2020 golf season might eventually be here. We share your anticipation and positive outlook – after all, the sense of well-being and joy golf can bring to our lives is something we all know well.

Even though we would not typically open for play until late April or early May, this time of year is always an exciting and equally important one. We use this time to on-board new staff, welcome new Annual Members and prepare for a thrilling schedule of events and tournaments played on our courses. As we continue to monitor ongoing events, we will prioritize safety first and foremost for everyone who visits our property.

With this focus in mind and with respect for the magnitude of this ongoing situation, we are adjusting our operations accordingly. We are working to ensure that best practices are implemented for the safety of our employees when they return to prepare our courses and open our facilities. We are exploring all possible options and innovations the game of golf has made to ensure the safety of players upon their return to the fairways. We are working with our partners at the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada to determine the potential impact on and timing of the Osprey Valley Open presented by Votorantim Cimentos – CBM Aggregates, as well as RBC Canadian Open Regional Qualifying, U.S. Open Local Qualifying and other exciting events currently scheduled for TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley this year. And, we will continue to take direction from the Ontario Ministry of Health and support the guidance provided by our golf community partners Golf Canada, the NGCOA, the TPC Network and the PGA TOUR.

We believe doing our part to protect the health of our staff, Annual Members, partners and customers by staying closed for the time being to be the appropriate action. We intend to maintain open lines of communication and let everyone know when we expect to open for play, and we sincerely hope that day arrives as soon as possible. In the meantime, we will be doing our best to use golf as a therapeutic outlet by sharing our favourite things about the game and community we love on social media.

One of the most important components of our partnership with the PGA TOUR, Mackenzie Tour and TPC Network is a commitment to positively impact our community. Whether in times of crisis or not, we can find a sense of purpose by thinking of and supporting those in need. Today, we are keeping that purpose in mind by making a $100,000 donation to Caledon Community Services in support of The Exchange food distribution program, and will continue to explore additional ways we can assist those in our community impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We encourage those of you who can to do the same – whether it be giving of your time or a financial contribution, even the smallest of gestures are desperately needed.

While we continue to work together remotely during this time, it is our goal to be ready to welcome everyone back to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley as soon as the time comes to open for the season. We are thankful for your ongoing support and patronage, and for your patience and understanding during these challenging times. Until then, should you have any comments or questions – or if you simply want to share what you love about the game of golf – we welcome your messages at feedback@ospreyvalley.com.

Best wishes for your safety and well-being during these difficult times.
