The PGA of Quebec announces 2020 schedule

Montreal, Quebec (June 25, 2020) – The PGA of Quebec is back with a schedule adapted for the 2020 season Taking into account the evolving nature of public health measures during this pandemic, the PGA of Quebec will offer four events that will allow professionals to compete in safe environment by following the deconfinement phases of the protocol developed by the golf industry. The measures in place focus on maintaining the health of the employees, professionals and volunteers present on site.

 The best professionals in Quebec will meet four times in the 2020 season, thanks to events offered in different formats. The Cobra Puma Championship will open the season on July 14 and will be presented for the second consecutive year at Golf de l’Épiphanie. The 2019 event saw Daniel Santerre win the honors with a 5-under score of 67 and three strokes ahead of several golfers. Tournaments will take place in the form of an individual 18-hole championship in addition to a team division (best ball) on August 3 at the Knowlton Golf Club and on August 31 at the Drummondville Golf Club. The season will be concluded with the PGA of Quebec TaylorMade and adidas Golf Championship. Champions in several categories will defend with Yohann Benson, defending the overall division, Billy Houle defending the head professionals, and Marc Girouard defending the senior championship. Daniel Talbot is the defending champion in the Legends Division. All of this will take place on September 28 and 29, in a 36-hole championship taking place on the fairways of the Montcalm Golf Club in St-Liguori.

We have set up a tournament structure that respects the safety guidelines established by Public Health. Our priority is of course the safety of the professionals who will take part in the competitions, but also that of all the employees and volunteers involved.
