Probably the highest golf tournament in the world will take place on 31 July.

High alpine golf experience “Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe” at 3,454m above sea level! Probably highest 6-hole golf tournament in the world will take place on July 31 on the Aletsch glacier at the foot of the Jungfraujoch. Rory McIlroy skillfully played the very first golf shot into the eternal ice of the Aletsch Glacier from far above on the Jungfraujoch at 3,454m in 2018.

A golf course will be artfully carved into the snow of the glacier by former Olympic snowboard champion Gian Simmen. At the beginning there are 4 “normal” golf holes (par 3 and par 4) on the program. Afterwards it is time for the Hole-in-One Shootout in the footsteps of Rory McIlroy. Finally, a putting competition will take place on the mirror-smooth and ultra-fast glacier ice of the Whiskey Bar.

Great prizes await the winners. The event is open to all active golf enthusiasts who would like to experience something unique. Participants can expect adventure, excitement and fun in the midst of a breathtaking alpine panorama. The ride up to the Jungfraujoch on the cogwheel train alone is an unforgettable experience. Registrations are being taken at +41 41 799 71 99 and info@golfandtravel.ch. Those who fancy playing an 18-holes tourney can take part in Golf and Travel’s popular “Traumreisen Trophy” on the course of the Interlaken Golf Club the day before.
