In Memoriam – Gary Pollock

April 24, 1962 - December 24, 2021

On Christmas Eve, Gary Pollock a golf industry veteran and well-respected sales representative suddenly passed away in his hometown of Ottawa. For 14 years Gary worked alongside his father Des who owned and operated Nevada Bob’s Golf and Tennis in Brampton. Gary joined Tournament Sports in Waterloo who distributed key brands like Bridgestone golf balls, Antiqua Apparel, Nancy Lopez Golf and many more brands throughout the years. Gary was Vice President of Sales and stayed with Tournament Sports after it was sold to ACI Brands.

Loving husband of Lori (nee Freel) for 31 years and very proud father of Rachel Lindsay. Gary was kind, generous, caring and genuine, always thinking of others. He was light-hearted, warm and made a lasting impression with friends, colleagues, sales reps and customers alike.

Gary had a lifelong passion with sports and was very proud of his daughter Rachel who recently was named the Head Coach for the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) Women’s Golf Program.

A private family service will be held and a summer celebration of life will take place in 2022. For those who wish to make a donation in Gary’s memory, please consider giving to the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) Women’s Golf Program, where Rachel is the Head Coach.
