Ian Doig is a tough-minded PGA professional and after many attempts to qualify for a PGA Major Championship, Ian has finally punched his ticket to the upcoming U.S. Senior Open in dramatic fashion. Like a seasoned professional, Ian acknowledged that he was struggling with his current putter. With a series of fortunate events, Ian was introduced to the Evnroll ER7CS. A full-sized, center shaft mallet with “The Sweetest Face in Golf.”

ER7CS

With only two days before the qualifying event at Battle Creek, Ian made a bold move to change putters and equipped himself with the new Evnroll ER7CS. “Immediately, I felt comfortable with this putter. There was no rotation, just straight back and straight through,” said Ian. “The technology behind Evnroll and how the ball feels and rolls the face is solid and like no other. I very rarely had a second putt outside one foot”

With the ER7CS in hand, Ian fired off a three-under round of 69 at Battle Creek, needing only 28 putts, and overcoming a three-way, two-hole playoff, sealing his spot in the 2018 U.S. Senior Open. When asked if the ER7CS would be in the bag at Broadmoor Golf Club, Ian was quickly replied, “There’s no chance it’s coming out the bag!”

Good luck at Broadmoor, Ian. You earned it.
