Golf Journalists Association of Canada Honours Garry McKay with the Dick Grimm Award

Named in honour of Canadian Golf Hall of Famer Richard “Dick” Grimm, whose legendary service to the Canadian Open and the Canadian golf industry is unparalleled in Canadian golf history, the Dick Grimm Award is presented annually to those who have made a significant lifetime contribution to Canadian golf.

Earlier this week in Caledon Ontario, The Pulpit Club hosted the Golf Journalists Association of Canada and announced that sports journalist, Garry McKay was the 2021 winner. McKay has been covering golf and other sports for more than 40 years. The Hamilton, Ontario resident writes for the Hamilton Spectator along with many other golf publications. In addition to his many other responsibilities, McKay is a feature writer and industry news contributor to Pro Shop Magazine and the golfindustrynetwork.ca digital sights.

McKay a member of the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame contributes to numerous panels and volunteers his time and knowledge to help various groups, associations and junior golf leagues.
