Canadian manufacturer launches Pik’r the world’s first robot for golf ball picking

Korechi Innovations Inc. presents their first robot for the golf industry – the Pik’r, a dedicated golf ball retrieval robot. This product was first tested in 2019, and since then has been rigorously tested and perfected at several driving ranges.

The Pik’r is the world’s first robot that automates existing standard 3 and 5 gang golf ball picking machines at any driving range with turf-grass or artificial turf, which means that it can pick up to 4000 balls per round or about 52,000 balls per 13-hour shift. It was designed to alleviate the labor-shortage that the industry is facing while enhancing safety of operations. The Pik’r is all-electric and runs on safe and long-lasting lithium batteries and can cover up to 7 acres per hour. It is guided by high-precision GNSS RTK sensors with sub-inch accuracy. It uses a camera with Artificial Intelligence to detect and avoid obstacles. Use the provided rugged tablet computer with the RoamIO-MLT software to remotely control Pik’r from anywhere in the world, generate paths and schedule golf ball picking for the entire day.

Korechi will be exhibiting at the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando in January. For more information or to set up an appointment contact Jim Clark at 416-930-0595 or email jim@korechi.com. Visit www.korechi.com for additional information.
