Beverage Labels Help Beer Sales

Golfers sneaking their own beer onto the golf course? It not only cuts into a facilities’ much needed revenue, it’s also in clear violation of their liquor licence.

A London, Ontario company, Critter Club Covers thinks they have the solution. They’ve become the Canadian distributer for Beverage Labels.

Like the name would imply, Beverage Labels are self-adhesive stickers that, when placed on beer or wine bottles or cans, make it obvious that the alcohol was purchased at the golf club.

Scott Beech, vice-president of operations for Critter Club Covers says they have one course which has doubled its alcohol sales since it went on the program three years ago.

“The girls who run the beverage cart like to get on the program because they’re selling more beer or wine,” says Beech. “And they don’t have a problem coming in a little early and putting some labels on.”
