The Canadian Society of Club Managers Sponsors Engaged Club Podcast Series

The Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM) announced its sponsorship of the Engaged Club’s podcast series.

The Engaged Club is a club management and marketing podcast co-created and co-hosted by Jim Hope, CCM, CCE, a club manager with over 30 years of industry experience and a former CSCM Alberta Branch and National Society president; and Roger Kingkade, a leader in digital marketing strategy for the club industry and founder of Offcourse Golf. In each 10-15-minute episode, released regularly, Jim and Roger discuss an aspect of club management and/or marketing, providing listeners with insights and new ideas that they could use in their club. Guests are frequently asked to participate on the podcasts as well to ensure various perspectives and experiences are provided.

CSCM’s vision is to create great clubs through excellence in professional club management and its mission is to promote and develop the profession of club management. The Society offers a variety of programs and services in response to member needs and expectations, including the certification program leading to the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, career opportunities, and a forum for networking for CEOs, COOs, GMs and managers involved in club management.

“The educational aspect of the Engaged Club is what really interested us initially,” explained Suzanne Godbehere, CSCM’s chief executive officer. “Jim and Roger are able to provide an insider look at club management and marketing, which we felt would be beneficial to our members and raise awareness of the profession of club management and CSCM amongst other stakeholders. We look forward to working with the Engaged Club to provide other continuing professional development opportunities for our members.”

“We are thrilled to be sponsored by CSCM,” said Jim Hope, co-creator of the Engaged Club podcast and general manager of The Derrick Golf and Winter Club in Edmonton, AB.  “As a relatively new podcast, we are excited to be bringing our series to a wider audience of club management professionals through CSCM’s network of members across Canada. We are looking forward to working together and developing new content with CSCM.”

The sponsorship began on April 1, 2019.
