KAMLOOPS — Sun Rivers Golf Course is changing hands.
In a email statement, Sun Rivers says it’s pleased to announce Big Horn Golf and Country Club LLP has purchased the golf course.
The investment group is led by Sun Rivers’ resident Bill Amy.
It’s comprised of golf members, Sun Rivers residents and local businesses through investment in Big Horn, a Limited Liability Partnership.
Amy says the group has big plans for the golf course including completing the construction of the Par 3 course.
They also intend to renovate and expand its restaurant and banquet facilities.
“We have an extremely strong group of directors ready to step in and carry out our vision,” said Amy.
Rick Siemons, CEO of Sun Rivers Limited Partnership, says he’s pleased with the purchase.
“We are pleased that ownership of the Golf Course will remain with the local community,” said Siemens. “The ownership group is committed to maintaining and expanding the golf course and clubhouse facilities, which will be a benefit to the Sun Rivers Community and to current and future residents at Sun Rivers.”
The sale is expected to close the end of July.
