Saanich student caddie receives $250,000 scholarship from Victoria Golf Club

Reynolds student impressed the selection committee with her grades, volunteering and poetry

Angela Bowers is the latest recipient of a four-year scholarship, $250,000, to the University of Washington thanks to the Evans Scholarship Foundation, a prestigious award for young caddies.

The Reynolds Secondary School student is the first female Evans Scholar in Canada to receive this award and she’s the first female scholarship recipient from the Victoria Golf Club (VGC) Evans Caddie program.
