The Glencoe Invitational

Established in 1992 the Glencoe Invitational was created to provide competitive tournament golf for top ranked amateur golfers from Western Canada.

The event has now evolved into an internationally recognized event and has become the second highest ranked amateur tournament in Canada. To date sixty-six former participants are now playing on various professional tours around the world.

From June 15-17th, fifty of some of Canada’s finest amateurs, as well as representatives from the United States will tee it up at the magnificent 7500 yard Glencoe Golf and Country Club in South West Calgary.

Many of these amateurs rank in the top 50 of Golf Canada’s Order of Merit and the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Great competition on Glencoe’s Championship Forest Course, where the skill set of these fine players will be put to task.

Last year’s winner and recently turned professional, Jared Du Toit, winning score was two over par after the three rounds

Former past winners include Graham DeLaet and McKenzie Hughes.

Players to keep an eye on include 2016 Manitoba Amateur champion, Devon Schade; Jordan Irwin second at least years Mid-Amateur Championship; Nolan Thoroughgood, BC Amateur Champion and Justin Wood 2016 Saskatchewan’s Amateur Champion.
