The PGA of Canada is searching for a change-driven innovator to lead the association.

“We are seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer who is a strong communicator to lead an experienced, innovative team through a comprehensive strategic planning process,” Steve Wood, President of the Board of Directors of the PGA of Canada. “We expect this leader to build on the many strengths of our organization and to drive some exciting change initiatives while maintaining the outstanding performance record of our association.”

The Chief Executive Officer reports to and works with the officers of the national Board of Directors and will lead a collaborative team of staff, department managers, members and external stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor short and long term strategies to fulfill the strategic objectives of the PGA of Canada.

“Our new CEO will be building from a strong base and leading a team with innovative ideas. He will have an involved and committed board, access to strong operational data and a commitment to provide our members with the highest levels of service and support,” Wood said. “Vision, innovation, strong communication and marketing skills along with proven management abilities will be valuable assets in this position.”

This is an outstanding and challenging opportunity for someone who is able to work in a supportive international environment.

The successful candidate will succeed Gary Bernard, who led the association through sustained growth and profitability while continually improving services and preparing the association for change and continuous improvement. Bernard recently announced plans for early retirement.
