In the past few years, a number of unique Canadian golf programs have launched to help those who love the game of golf but are faced with physical or mental challenges. There are many volunteers and golf facilities who deserve recognition as they take the time to assist and help participants who have limited abilities learn and play the game of golf.
One such program is called Challenge Golf in Oakville Ontario. Challenge Golf, offers broad opportunities for fellowship, by providing, at specified times, in an accessible locale; equipment (either standard or specially designed); advice; and encouragement by volunteers which will enable the participants to learn and play the game of golf to the limit of their abilities.
Tee Zone driving range that serves the western part of the GTA and their owners Bot Construction Group provide Challenge Golf with space and equipment to help each golfer.
Recently the Golf Journalists Association of Canada recognized this unique program and donated $1,000.00 to help in the development and growth.
