The Club Management Association of Canada Announces 2022 Award Recipients
The Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC) is pleased to announce and congratulate the recipients of CMAC’s 2022 Awards Program. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the National Conference in Vancouver.

It is an honour this year to add Kumar Ramjoo, CCM Director of Finance, Donalda Club, Toronto, ON to the Honour Society.
The annual awards program honours members who have made a significant contribution to the Association and the profession of club management in Canada, supporting CMAC’s mission to offer quality education and networking opportunities. Annually, members are invited to nominate peers in the industry. All nomination submissions are carefully reviewed by the Awards Committee and recipients are selected based on specific criteria.

Suzanne Godbehere, Chief Executive Officer of CMAC, said, “2022 has been a year of exciting change for CMAC with a new brand and the announcement of plans to move CMAC’s headquarters to Caledon, ON in 2025. Sunningdale Golf & Country Club Communications Coordinator Laura Shackleton
Achieves Internationally Recognized Certified Club Manager Designation
The Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC) is delighted to announce that Laura Shackleton, CCM, Sunningdale Golf & Country Club communications coordinator, recently attained her designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM) and joins the 77 other CCMs and one MCM in Canada. The CCM designation indicates that a club management professional has completed a rigorous course of study and training and shows a dedication to proficiency and expertise in club management.
The CCM designation is the hallmark of professionalism in club management established by the Club Management Association of America in 1965. CMAC launched the certification program in Canada in 2004. The designation is a valuable, internationally recognized, and widely respected mark of a manager’s commitment to professional development and the club industry. In order to receive the CCM designation, one must invest time in specified education requirements, attend at least one CMAC National Conference, be a member of CMAC for a minimum of six years and maintain activity within their local branch. After these conditions have been met, the individual must pass the CCM exam. Attainment of the CCM title shows a long-term commitment to professional development and club management.
