GOLFNORTH BUYS DELHI GOLF CLUB AS WELL AS THE PURCHASE OF THREE PREVIOUSLY LEASED COURSES.

GolfNorth Properties (Canada’s largest consolidator of public golf courses) has been very active over the past six months.  After acquiring two London area golf courses in the spring of 2021 (Maple Ridge Golf Club & Westminster Trails Golf Club), the Conestoga based resort and golf management company has purchased three courses which it had been operating under lease.  In addition, GolfNorth is pleased to announce that it has procured Delhi Golf & Golf Club for the 2022 season.

The Fox Golf Club in Granton (near London), Batteaux Creek Golf Club in Nottawa (near Collingwood), and Settlers’ Ghost Golf Club in Craighurst (near Barrie) – are all courses which have been managed by GolfNorth Properties for several seasons.  Earlier in the 2021 season, GolfNorth concluded the purchase of all three of these golf courses.

GolfNorth President Shawn Evans explains why transitioning these properties from leases to ownership is a win for everyone involved, “Ownership (as opposed to leasing) adds a new level of stability for each of these operations.  GolfNorth now has them for the long haul, so golfers, staff, and the courses themselves will benefit from a level of long-term planning which isn’t possible within the structure of a short-term lease.”

The Fox Golf Club will be combined with Maple Ridge Golf Club, Westminster Trails Golf Club, Cobble Hills Golf Club, Exeter Golf Club, and Ironwood Golf Club; and marketed as The London 6-Pack – arguably the best deal on the London golf scene.  Visit www.golfnorth.ca for this and other multi-course membership options.

Batteaux Creek Golf Club and Settlers’ Ghost Golf Club have both become local favourites and popular golf destinations.  Coupled with a hotel stay in Barrie, Wasaga Beach, or Collingwood – a few days golfing near the shores of Georgian Bay is a great getaway without the hassle of airports or a long drive.  A GolfNorth membership for both courses include unlimited play at an additional 25 courses at a remarkably low price. Again, details are available at www.golfnorth.ca

GolfNorth is thrilled to announce the purchase of Delhi Golf Club as of October 1, 2021.  We would like to welcome the course, staff, members, and public players to the GolfNorth family.  Memberships for 2022 are now on sale, including a GolfNorth multi-course membership which includes unlimited play at an additional ten Ontario courses and discounts on dozens more. Visit www.golfnorth.ca for this and other membership options.

In the heart of Ontario’s historic tobacco country, Delhi Golf Club began its life as a charming 9-hole parkland style course in 1960.  As its popularity continued to grow, along with the expansion of the town of Delhi itself, architect Ian Andrew was engaged to build nine additional holes and refresh the existing nine.  The result is a very fun 18-hole course which is great for beginners, yet equally challenging for more experienced players.  Regular golfers will tell you that Delhi is best known for having very good greens.  The homey clubhouse offers a variety of good food and friendly service.  Delhi Golf Club is conveniently located close to Lake Erie cottage country and has been a summertime activity for generations.

With the addition of Delhi Golf Club, GolfNorth Properties now operates 36 golf courses in three provinces, two hotels, and a ski club.  For a complete listing of GolfNorth properties and membership information, please visit www.golfnorth.ca
