ParaGolf Canada’s strategic plan is to promote the involvement in the game of golf for people of all abilities, empowering everyone with the chance to play the game and develop their potential regardless of the severity of their disability.
Todd Keirstead is one of the world best golf entertainers in the game. Todd has also become one of the world leaders in the inclusion and diversity. He has inspired thousands with his vision that anyone can play golf, no matter what their circumstance. He has spoken to 32 National PGA’s on the importance of the involvement of individuals of all abilities to the game of golf.
As a long-standing PGA Member, Todd wants to help any and all individuals with disabilities to become actively engaged in the social structure of their community, and to derive the health benefits that enhance the quality of life. In 2017, at the Invictus Games, Todd had the privilege of spending time with Prince Harry discussing the benefits of the sport of golf for our wounded warriors. Todd was later chosen to have a supervisor role in the 2019 Warrior Games in Tampa, Florida. That same year he traveled the world with the United States Air Force’s “Recharge for Resiliency” program that inspired airmen and their families.
“My vision is to ignite the passion in individuals and to transcend personal boundaries both on and off the fairway”, says Keirstead. “Until now, there has not been a dedicated organization with a sole focus to promote full inclusion towards the sport of golf in Canada.”
