COPETOWN WOODS GOLF CLUB KEEPING TRADITIONS ALIVE

Barry Forth, Director of Guest Experiences at Copetwon Woods Golf Club in Copetown Ontario wanted to keep a tradition alive and had a great Easter weekend with family, friends and customers. Forth said “When we needed to cancel our popular Easter brunch, we decided to offer a full family style take-home dinner. Without knowing what the response would be, we figured if we could sell 50 meals it would be worth it. We also decided to offer Good Friday Fish & Chips to keep other traditions alive. Using Facebook and Instagram advertising as a test along with our email database, we tried to spread the word. It spread virally more than we ever could have expected! Hundreds of ‘shares’ by perfect strangers led to astonishing numbers for us. In the end we served 362 orders of Fish & Chips on Good Friday … and 743 Easter Dinners between Saturday and Sunday. With all orders pre-paid and a solid ‘curbside’ pickup distribution plan, the average wait time was less than ONE minute per order.

Best part was that 40% of those that ordered were new customers. The overwhelmingly positive reviews are now flooding social media and my inbox and we’re excited to continue this every weekend moving forward with a new menu each weekend! Without the ability to open the golf course, we are adapting to stay relevant and keep people working … and there are no signs of slowing down!
