Westmount Golf & Country Club selects Jason Meier as General Manager

Jason Meier, 2019 Club Manager of the Year, to lead renowned Stanley Thompson-designed Westmount Golf & Country Club in Kitchener, Ontario.

Westmount Golf & Country Club selected Jason Meier as its next General Manager. Jason’s appointment follows an extensive search that considered candidates from around the world. Meier will assume the position beginning in February 2023.

Meier has a long and accomplished career in the private club industry spanning over 30 years. Jason joins Westmount from his current position as General Manager of The Oakville Club. Prior to his current role, Meier was the Clubhouse Manager at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club for five years and the Food & Beverage Manager at St. George’s Golf and Country Club for eleven years.

“As Westmount approaches its 100-year anniversary, it was important to identify a strong General Manager who would honour Westmount’s legacy as one of Canada’s premier golf facilities, while positioning the Club for continued success amidst a changing landscape for private clubs,” said Steve Whitney, Westmount president. “Jason’s experience building and leading family-oriented, multi-sport clubs will strengthen the Westmount experience for current and future golfers, curlers, tennis players, and social members alike.”

Further to his Club experience, Jason has been an active, and longstanding member of the Club Managers Association of Canada and sits on the National Board of Directors for the Canadian Managers Association of Canada. Jason was recognized as Club Manager of the Year by CMAC in 2019
