The appeal of light beer

As many of you know we have introduced a delicious light beer to the mix this year. While in my youth I used to call Light beer “A Waste of Time” turning 40 this year I now realize light beer is mine and my waistbands best friend. It’s not easy owning a brewing company having to keep up on all the taste tests and Quality control. It’s a tough job but someone has to to it!

While sitting with many of our customers over the winter we have come to find Triple Bogey is a top seller or a close second at so many of our courses. We found the courses we are a close second, we always seem to be just a step behind the corporate light beers that are on the market. As many of you know I’m always up for a challenge and Triple Bogey Light was born! There are many benefits to both you and I to be selling Light beer here are just a few.

Through many of the discussions I have had I feel the general consensus is that courses and bars sell more light beer because people can drink more of them in a certain time period. This is a perfect example of people being more cautious about how many they can have before getting behind the wheel. We are saying it’s ok to drink and drive, not at all but a light beer is a much better alternative than that 8.9% alcohol IPA. These days there is so many more alternatives to driving and we suggest you use them if you are drinking at all!

Another example of people switching to light beer is the world today seems to be a lot more cautious about what they eat and drink.  Light beer sales on the rise are also a perfect example of people taking better care of themselves and being more health conscious. We are proud to say our Triple Bogey Light has only 130 Calories per 473ml serving and at 3.9% now you don’t have to feel so guilty about drinking delicious full-flavored beer!

Lastly light beer is a great way to appeal to the ladies. We know there are ladies out there that can drink crazier beers than I can and all the power to you but I am just saying we have found having a light alternative brings in a whole new demographic to our business and should to yours as well. We hear so often when we sample on ladies’ nights about both the Triple Bogey and Triple Bogey Light “I don’t usually drink beer but this I can drink because it’s not too hoppy or strong”

We are very proud of the lagers we have produced and with our new Triple Bogey Light, amber lager and canned wine which we will talk about another day, we feel we have a great product range to hit all those thirsty golfers this year and now you can too!
