Ted Stonehouse, Director of Golf at Cabot Cape Breton has announced PGA of Canada Professional Mike Johnston is joining Cabot Cape Breton as Cabot Links Head Golf Professional.
Prior to joining Cabot Cape Breton, Mike was the Lead Associate Golf Professional at St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Toronto, Ontario. Originally from Ontario Mike graduated with honours in Bachelor of Business Golf Management program at Georgian College in 2015.
He started his first two years of his professional career as an Assistant at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club in Jasper, Alberta. In 2015, Mike joined the professional team at Cedar Brae Golf Club in Toronto, Ontario, working his way to Associate Golf Professional, where his seven years was highlighted with being awarded the 2020 PGA of Ontario Class “A” Professional of the Year.
Mike is known as one of Canada’s leading up and coming PGA members, who co-founded the Assistants of Toronto (AoT) Networking Group on behalf of Assistant Golf Professionals in Ontario.
